I received a demo unit of the Speedlight Pro Kit sent from Malaysia. The Speedlight Pro Kit are attachments which you can place on your flash (fits any flash unit whether it be a Canon Speedlight, or a Nikon SB flash - even probably a Sony or Pentax flash! Lol)
This is the Speedlight Pro Kit (set)

..and this is how it looks like when assembled:

From Top Left to Right: Prokit Standard Reflector with Softbox, Prokit Standard Reflector with Honeycomb Grid, Snoot (Medium and Small sized grids)
The kit also came with rubber bands (not seen in photo) which you can put on your flash unit so that the Standard reflectors would have a better "grip" to the flash heads.
I must say that aside from the attachment's capabilities - I was also very impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the Pro Kits. Some of the attachments i have seen in the market looked as if they were DIY (Do It Yourself) products made in one's basement - but this is not the case with the Speedlight Pro Kits.
This kit surely works wonders on product and food photography - as seen on the samples on their website
http://www.speedlightprokit.com but I wanted to test it out on portrait photography and see if it can really mimic and turn your ordinary flash into studio like strobes - so during my shoot with a model, i took some time off in between sets to make a 2 light setup with the Pro Kits.
Setting up the Pro Kit was a cinch, as you can see on the picture above - the reflectors (and the grid/softbox) all have buttons which you just snap into place like a Lego toy. The attachment won't fit snugly into your flash since it is slightly bigger than the flash head (speaking for the Canon 580EXII) so as to accommodate any brand of flash unit, the velcro strap and rubber band holds the attachment securely into place.
Since i only have 2 Canon 580EXII flash units, I had to think of a lighting set-up that would be appropriate for the scenery (plyboards as backdrops) and for the model's outfit/makeup/look.
So i opted to use the Standard Reflector + Honeycomb grid for my fill light (left side) and used the Snoot + Medium grid for my main light to get that gritty lighting effect for my photo.
As you can see in this photo, i was able to produce a soft rounded light on my background (c/o honeycomb grid) and a "spot" lighting on the model's face (c/o snoot)

Reflector + Softbox (left side) and Snoot + Medium Grid (right side)

Standard Reflector (no attachments) main light and Snoot (small grid) for the hair light.

If you have a flash unit and seriously want to try "Studio" lighting on a budget - the Pro Kits is a good place to start. I would also suggest this product to those 'Strobists" who make use of several flash unit as these attachments would offer more flexibility than using a Stofen Omnibounce or using the flash's built in bounce card/diffuser. They also offer Barn Door attachments and several colored gels (did not get them in the package sent to me, so I wasn't able to test it.)
I have Alien Bees strobes, but living in Tokyo (where everything is crowded) portability is essential - and often times a requirement. Having this kit in my photography arsenal - gives me more flexibility and confidence in taking outdoor and location shoots (think beach!!) without having to worry about bringing my big strobe-wall socket strobe lights.
I made this product review and test since I had a talk with the manufacturer of this product and the possibility of distributing it here in Japan - and i wouldn't sell or endorse a product which i haven't personally tested and used. Short to say I was very impressed with this product and will be using more of it in upcoming shoots!
